Meghdoot Staunton Series Wooden Chess Pieces in Ebony & Box Wood - 3.2" King

Features: The Staunton Series weighted chess pieces offers a 3.2" King with a diameter of 1.3" and all chess pieces are Weighted by adding a stud of iron within the base. Each of the chess pieces have green felt on their bases. The dark chess pieces are made of Ebony wood and the lighter chess pieces are made of Boxwood.

Chess Pieces Weight: 870 grams approx. (30.68 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

Design & Build Quality: All of the chess pieces bases have hand-selected thick green felt that feels luxurious & also provides for better stability. The green felt precisely envelops the base of each chessmen. Green felt also helps to protect the finish & surface of the chess board from scratches, which is why we crafted it as passionately as we did. The chess pieces are beautifully crafted in ebony wood & boxwood. Ebony wood will give you a luxurious touch & premium feel in your hand. We use high-quality Buff polish on each of our chess pieces. There are several layers of polish coating each of the chess pieces. 

Why The Staunton Series?

Dream Catcher: Each piece of The Staunton Series chess pieces are hand-weighted, hand-polished and have leather base pads applied by the artisan himself, a very detailed and time-consuming process. We still weren’t satisfied. So we considered enhancing it. We identified a key way in which we could in order to ensure that each chess set that bears his name is as close to perfect as possible.
