We are pleased to announce the Excalibur Luxury Artisan Series, an heirloom-quality chess set crafted from Budrose Wood and boxwood. The King stands at 4.6 inches with a robust 1.9-inch base. This luxury design features a magnificently robust and solitary knight knight.

Weight: 2000 grams approx. (70.54 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

The dark chess pieces are crafted from Budrose Wood, a sumptuous material known for its fine texture, deep luster, and exceptional blackness. The opposing pieces are made of boxwood, which is easy to work with and highlights aesthetic detail. The set includes free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion.especially the rings and curves, is truly remarkable.

Design Inspiration: The knight of this chess set is inspired by the sword of the legendary King Arthur. The sweeping mane and distinctive head shape gives the knight aggressive and ready-to-attack look. 

Craftsmanship: Did you notice? All chess pieces have handmade dotted lines at the bottom of the shank, for an elegant look. The carving and the design of the knight are quite spectacular, look closely at the eyes, nostrils, teeth and, craftsmanship around the mane. The design of the other pieces is equally outstanding, making the set truly stand out. Meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade Budrose Wood and polished by hand, each piece boasts a rich, long-lasting shine. Each chessmen is carefully handcrafted in India and takes some influences from the Pegasus Series. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces. The design, quality, and craftsmanship of these chess pieces are comparable to the luxury chess sets that are sold for $3000+ by other retailers.

Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.
