Originally crafted by the renowned Calvert chess makers of London, these pieces are admired for their classical design, tall kings, and smooth curves - making them a true collector's delight and a functional set for tournament or casual play.

Product Highlights: This Reproduced Antique Series of weighted chess pieces features a 4.1" King with a base diameter of 1.4 inches. Each piece is carefully weighted by inserting an iron stud into the base, offering excellent balance and stability. The bases are lined with thick green felt to protect your chessboard and ensure smooth movement during play. The dark pieces are handcrafted from Ebonized Boxwood, while the lighter ones are made from Antiqued Boxwood, creating a beautifully aged and vintage look.
