Each of the chess pieces have thick green felt on their bases. The dark chess pieces are made of  Ebonized wood and the lighter chess pieces are made of Distressed Boxwood.

The thick green felt precisely envelops the base of each chessmen. The thick green felt also helps to protect the finish & surface of the chess board from scratches, which is why we crafted it as passionately as we did. The chess pieces are beautifully crafted in ebonized wood & boxwood. Ebonized wood will give you luxurious touch & premium feel in your hand.
