This version addresses customer feedback with a more accurate knight design, ensuring a closer reproduction of the original.The 1950s' Dubrovnik Chess Set became famous as Bobby Fischer’s favorite chess set. Fischer famously called it "the best chess set I have ever played on." Originally seen at the 9th Chess Olympiad in Dubrovnik, Croatia, the set is a rare and highly sought-after collector's item.

Felts: Thick green felt precisely envelops the base of each chess men.
Weights: The set is double weighted and so they are pleasure to hold and will last for years if maintained properly in a dry and clean place.
Note: Original Dubrovnik chess pieces are non-weighted. Commercially available 1970s' chess set (used by Bobby Fischer) design is slightly changed from the actual 1950s' Dubrovnik but the difference is not hugely noticeable. The actual 1950s' Dubrovnik Olympiad chess set was never sold in any store.
